Bronze Art Museum

On the purpose of carrying forward the national traditional culture and art, especially the bronze art, the fourth successor of Zhejiang Shaoxing “ Zhu’s Bronze”----Mr. Zhu Bingren innovatively constructed the Museum of Zhu Bingren Bronze art, which is locate on Hefang street, the historical street in Hangzhou city. It was formal opening to the public in 2007, which is the only one bronze art museum all over the world.

The large-scale museum takes up 3000 square meters. Except face walls and floor, all the doors, windows, roofing, columns and furniture are all bronze-structured or bronze-decorated, which consume 65 ton bronze materials. It demonstrates the typical southern folk house style of Ming and Qing Dynasty, which is bronze-twinkling, exquisite and elegant by wearing corridors, stacked halls and blocks of flats.

Marshalling artistic distillate of 5 generations, craft artist Zhu Bingren and his son Zhu Junming strived wholeheartedly, pulled out all stops, in the core of bronze culture, eventually united drawing, sculpture, architecture, and calligraphy of Chinese traditional sculpt art to fully demonstrate the long-standing bronze culture and Mr. Zhu Bingren’s bronze sculpture works. Every year, millions of visitors come especially for it, and it has become a significant demonstrating base for Hangzhou arts and crafts.
